Do I have to commit to a long term mentorship or a certain number of sessions?No. You are in total control of how many sessions you want or need. We guarantee that you will get value from every single session. However, based on our mentee’s results those who received 5-12 sessions got the best ROI (received a dream offer, promotion, or made a successful career transition). After the initial session, we’re happy to give you a recommendation of how many sessions we think you’ll need to accomplish your goals.

What is covered by the initial free session? Do I need to prepare anything in advance?The goals of the initial free session are: You and your selected mentor get familiar with each other’s background Help the mentor understand your unique situation and goals Help the mentor evaluate your case and tailor a solution/plan for you It is also your opportunity to assess if the mentor is right for you Please have your portfolio and a brief verbal self introduction available for the initial session.

How should I choose a mentor?You can find the bios of our mentors on our website. The information is sufficient for you to make an educated choice. Mentors’ names are pseudonymous on this website to protect their privacy but their identity and LinkedIn will be disclosed when you meet them.

Can I switch to another mentor after one or multiple sessions have been done?Yes. You always have the option to switch to another mentor, but if you already received the initial free session, you won’t get another free session when you switch to another mentor.

Can I get a discount if I pay for multiple sessions up front?No. Our pricing model is flat-rate based.

I’m not in the US and I can’t pay the service fee online. What are the alternative payment options?Please send an email to info@uxercareer.com for your payment needs. We have other options and will guide you through the booking and payment process.

Can I hold off the payment until I receive the service?No. We require the payment to be made up front when you schedule a session.

Is it possible to negotiate a conditional price? (e.g. If I get an offer from XXXX, I pay XXXX.)"No.

Can I cancel or reschedule a session?Yes. This is our cancellation/rescheduling policy: You can cancel a session 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time to get a 95% refund. You can also reschedule a session 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time. Rescheduling is not allowed when it is less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time. Cancellations that are less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time are not eligible for a refund.

Does my mentor offer offline portfolio review outside of the online sessions?Yes. If you require the mentor to pre-review your updated portfolio outside of the scheduled 1:1 session time and leave their comments through chat or save them for the next 1:1, you can discuss and arrange with your mentor. We will charge the same per-hour rate based on how much time it takes for the mentor to review your work.

Can I reach out to my mentor for questions outside of the online sessions?Yes but simple questions only. Once you decide to continue the service after the initial free session, you will have your mentor’s contact methods. If the question is beyond what the mentor can answer with simple chat messages, you will be suggested to hold it until your next scheduled 1:1 session.

Can I have another person join the session with me?Yes. It is fine for a friend to join your session, you can bring up to 2 friends. We charge 50% of the per-hour rate for each additional mentee. However, individual classes are often preferred to get the best personalized experience with tailored mentorship for your unique situation. If you plan to do this for your next session.
